Spiritual Toolbar: Top 4 Fundamental Elements
Walking in faith requires consistency to build a strong cornerstone. We need proper tools to help us in our progress. What are these vital components we need to secure?
🔸Bible
The primary thing we need to have.
This is our guide in how we live our life as a christian.
Whenever we go astray, we can rely on the Bible to help us
back again to the right path.
2 Timothy 3:16
All Scripture is God-breathed
and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,
that the man of God may be complete,
equipped for every good work.
Isaiah 30:21
Whether you turn to the right or to the left,
your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it."
🔸 Church
We need the presence of fellow believers to remind us
that we are not alone in this journey. That we shared the same
struggles in life. They exhort us when we are dispirited because
they can empathize of what we are going through.
Matthew 18:20
For where two or three have gathered together in
My name, I am there in their midst.
Hebrew 10:24-25
And let us consider how we may spur one another
on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together,
as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—
and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
🔸Prayer and Fasting
Essential for personal devotion,
where we set aside our worldly affairs and consecrate ourselves.
Praying and fasting help establish a firm spiritual connection to God.
Psalm 69:10
When I wept and humbled my soul
with fasting, it became my reproach.
Daniel 9:3
So I turned to the Lord God and
pleaded with him in prayer and petition,
in fasting, and in sackcloth and ashes.
🔸Praise and Worship songs
-Great supplement for our soul.
Singing songs to God is glorifying His Lordship in our lives.
We praise him in our joyful time and worship him in our gloomy days.
Glorifying him with songs give us a better stamina to accomplish our day.
“May your priests be clothed with your righteousness; may your faithful people sing for joy”(Psalm 132:9).
“Speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord”(Ephesians 5:19).
At times, we failed to be consistently devoted and get distracted by daily commitments. Don't feel condemned, anyway. There is always a room for improvement. As long as we keep on finding ways to reconnect to God, we can trust Him to welcome us with an open arms.
Joel 2:13
And rend your heart and not your garments.
Now return to the Lord your God,
For He is gracious and compassionate,
Slow to anger, abounding in lovingkindness
And relenting of evil.
