Thousands of years  had passed and the Christ believers were still holding and waiting on Jesus' promise to come back again and redeem us. Scriptures revealed everything in details on what to expect in  the coming days concerning His second coming.
I remember when I was just 11 years young, that was the beginning of the year of millennium in the year 2000. I heard rumours about Jesus shall come at this particular place and day in our town. The people got panicked. I also, heard my mother and our neighbor chitchatting that there will be members of satanic cult that will knock on doors and will take the heart of their victims, so we need to put inside our slippers and other things because the cult will use those things for  hypnotism and spell to victimize us.

20 years had already passed but none of those rumours I've heard happened. The point here is, being ignorant of the truth will make us gullible, easily deceived.  God did not want us to be swept away with fear and so, He breathed out scriptures to be our reference and guide for truth. 2 Timothy 3:16-17

What exactly are the global signs we need to take notice of how near is Jesus' second coming?

a.) False ministers of  God - In this internet outbreak, everything is accessible. Global news is within a click away on any social platforms. We read articles about some preachers/prophets who disorderly preach the Word of God and  associate it with sorcery and were involved in sexual crimes and fraud.

In Matthew 24:24 Jesus described the mark of the likes of them "will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect." Not all who masters the Bible are trustworthy, We need to put in our mind that satan himself can disguise as an angel and is well-informed in all the writings of the Bible. His origin and his fall is even recorded there.  When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. John 8:44
So we must test the credibility of those ministers we listen to.

b.) Wars - wars that started in  political, economical, and religious wars. We've been hearing and experiencing all of these wars like, The world war I and II and up to these days the wars never ceased, especially in some parts of middle east because of religious and territorial wars. Because of innovation of technology, military weapons and defenses are advanced, if world war III will take place, it is surely devastating. but we must not get panic as Jesus said "You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom."
Matthew 24:6

c.)Turning away from God1 Timothy 4:1 says "Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons,"  same as what Jesus said in Matthew 24:10. Nowadays many people who were once radical in faith but suddenly swayed and give in to carnal practices. This evil days where wickedness has multiplied, satan's demonic lies and influence can dangerously trap us. It doesn't mean that reading bible everyday will make us exempted to his deceitfulness.  "Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm." Ephesians 6:10-18
Incomplete armour will be our defeat.

d.) Calamity - Hurricanes, Tornadoes, Tsunami, Earthquakes, Typhoons, Drought, Wildfires, Floodー these natural disasters are more often today than any generations had passed. They even get worst due to global warming because of the ozone layer that is gradually damaging by the greehouse gases brought by pollution. These are part of the signs of Jesus coming.
In Daniel it says there that there shall be increased of knowledge. Therefore, Modern Technologies, Pollution, Global warming and calamities are in one package to fulfill the signs.

e.) Pestilences and diseases - BBC News reported about a locusts outbreak in South Africa devouring their crops which can be resulting to scarcity of food, if not prevented. Adding the pandemic corona virus which afflicted the world and its economy. Not to mention other deadly viruses that continously devour us. i.e HIV, ebola, bubonic plague and those flu  that kills livestocks: Swine flu, Bird's flu, mad cow diseases ーThere are so much of terrifying events, that we could vastly feel the fulfillment of the prophesies.

Luke 21:11
and there will be great earthquakes, and in various places plagues and famines

f.) High Crime rates - One of the great commandments is "Love your neighbor as you love yourself" if we care for our fellowmen, we won't do any harm to them but because we are in the last days, Jesus forwarned us, Matthew 24:12 Because of the multiplication of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 2 Timothy 3:2-4 ...without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal,  not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited .... This kind of  behavorial transformation is extremely terrifying. They won't show no mercy to people who falls into their hands for personal interests. And we are witnessing these evil transformation now, one of the worst crimes I've watched and read on news was the
Child brutality and pornography case happened in 2018. Just click it to read the full story. What they have done is extremely evil. We cannot stand hearing and witnessing those wickedness everyday. We need God's strength to endure till the end.

And pray that we may be delivered from wicked and evil people, for not everyone has faith.  But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.

Takeaway

From the signs enumerated above, we are definitely at the last chapter of  God's promise. His redemption is at hand. We do not know when is the exact time but rest assured He will surely come.

  1. Matt 14, notice the very first words: do not be deceived.
Sadly deceitful teaching is everywhere today. A call to be very careful what we believe.
